Before founding La Jolla Capital Group in 2008, Randall was vice president of commercial real estate finance for Countrywide Capital Markets, for which he opened and ran the San Diego office. To that position, he brought a wealth of commercial real estate experience that began with his work as an analyst for Wells Fargo Capital Markets in their commercial mortgage backed securities group. He joined Commercial Capital Bank as an associate in 1999, and in a very short time, came to be responsible for close to $1 Billion in commercial loan originations, as director of loan production, running the San Diego commercial real estate lending division. He is a current California and former Florida Mortgage Broker, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Santa Barbara and an MBA from San Diego State University.
In the private sector, Randall served as the chairman of an Orange County-based mortgage banking firm, where he successfully established significant credit facilities and private equity investments. Randall is currently a board member of a private REIT, on their finance and investment committees. He is on the board and the finance committee of Resthaven Charitable endowment, and a former board member for Temple Beth Sholom in Chula Vista, and the Senior Community Centers of San Diego.
As an active commercial developer/investor Randall usually has several projects under renovation. He typically invests in heavy value-add properties with a long-term hold approach to his portfolio. He is also a member of the San Diego Yacht Club.
